Visit to the IISTA-UGR laboratories with the Parque de las Ciencias. Research up close
On the occasion of the celebration of the European Researchers’ Night, the Science Park and the Interuniversity Institute for Research on the Earth System in Andalusia, University of Granada (IISTA-UGR), organize this activity linking the facilities and laboratories of the Institute, located in the neighboring CEAMA Building, and modules of the Science Park. The activity will begin with a visit to some of the museum’s modules, which will be explained by the IISTA researchers themselves. In addition, the staff of the Science Park will lead interactive workshops to deepen these contents. Their explanations will gradually lead us into the studies that the Institute carries out on the masses of water (hydrosphere) and air (atmosphere).
The visit will continue through the facilities and laboratories of the CEAMA building where the researchers will explain their research work and will show the facilities and tools they use for it. Among others, the visit will include the atmospheric observation laboratories, the boundary layer wind tunnel and the atmosphere-ocean interaction channel, which are unique advanced research infrastructures worldwide. It will be a visit of real interest where little known resources for science will be explained.
